Hi,

Welcome to our March newsletter, covering all the latest from Farillio

  • New features: Our workflow tools have now turned collaborative as promised! You can now assign tasks, set deadlines for them to be completed and jointly monitor progress with friends, family or advisers on your Farillio projects. Making a will, creating a CV, crafting a flexi-working request and lots more tasks are now fully collaborative – making it even easier to involve the people you trust to help you.

  • New content: This month’s new content includes:

    • The first phase of our large new suite on financial matters, including financial planning and financial wellbeing. The first phase focuses on pensions choices, consolidating pensions, taking money out or putting more money into pensions, tax implications and much more. It’s produced in collaboration with the government’s Money and Pensions Service. Find out more below.
    • A brand-new suite of pensions, spend and savings calculators for Farillio. As much a new feature as new content, we’ll introduce you below to the first 3 in a large suite of calculators we’re launching to support you better on household and life expenses.
  • In the News: This month we’ve focused on:

    • Confusion over how to ‘stand with Ukraine’ and provide support via trusted means. We look at where you can go to ensure your support reaches the very people it’s intended for and we look at the resources confirming what’s needed to bring Ukrainian nationals into the UK.
    • The weekly shop is costing more, and we’re spending less at the supermarket. We look at who has the best money-saving tips, how to run your car more fuel-efficiently, where to find the cheapest petrol and diesel and what’s going on with our spending habits, now and in the longer term.
    • How to travel safely in your car with young children during the colder weather
    • The prospects for our younger generation of UK workers in a post-pandemic world, and how Covid-19’s affected them – a new report from the Resolution Foundation shows encouraging findings from its survey of over 6,000 adults. It also identifies challenges for those who’ve experienced significant periods of worklessness. If you know someone affected, Farillio contains valuable guidance.
    • Gambling operators fined for breaking privacy and marketing rules as the government delays its awaited proposal for gambling law reforms.
    • Do you have the right tax code – apparently millions of us don’t and that means we could be paying too much or too little tax!
  • Expert corner: Meet Brian Gannon from the government’s Money and Pensions Service, with whom we’ve been collaborating on a huge suite of financial education and wellbeing materials. See Brian in action on the question of when to start planning for your retirement below…

While we can connect you with some very fine advisers in the UK, and we collaborate with them to provide you with great materials, Farillio itself is not a law firm. We do not directly provide legal advice ourselves. All resources are available for you to use (according to our terms and conditions), but those resources are not legal advice to you and neither are they a substitute for you taking legal advice from a lawyer.
