Agreement to appoint an advisor to the board
What's an agreement to appoint an advisor to the board and when do you need it?
This is a straightforward agreement to appoint an advisor to your board. It is suitable for private limited companies who wish to formalise an arrangement with an individual who from time to time advises members of management on aspects of the company’s business.
It is not the same as a formal non-executive director appointment, although there are similarities in the two roles.
Our template is suitable for appointments where an advisor will provide their advice in return for a percentage share of the equity in the company, options to purchase the shares at a future date and/or where they will receive direct payment. Our expert partner does not recommend its use where legal advice is being provided. Different terms would be more appropriate in those circumstances.
